During their branch meeting, held on Friday, March 1, the Weemelah CWA invited Mungindi ambulance officers to run through some basic first aid with the ladies.
The officers provided the group with an update on snake bite first aid and a CPR update.
"We practiced compressions with the newly-released pillow cases to guide you through what to do," Weemelah CWA's Libby McPhee said.
"We also received instruction on using a defibrillator."
The ambulance officers also went through the procedure for calling the ambulance through 000.
"The session was packed with valuable information and we are so grateful that the ambulance officers took time to update branch members," Ms McPhee said.
Barry Cowell from the Weemelah Rural Fire Service also participated in the session.
