Council had previously allocated $5,000 towards internal fencing at Boughton Oval, with another $5,000 in-kind to be allocated from the Moree Senior Rugby League Club.
The fence is required to separate spectators from the officials and players.
The fence was originally going to be pipe and rail only, however the club have indicated that they are required to provide a 900mm roll top mesh fence.

The quote for this style of fencing is $19,747 for materials and freight, hence the need for the extra funding.
The additional funds will be coming from the Taylor Oval Deed Agreement allocation for the Ron Harborne Western Oval Project.
The matter was resolved by councillors at last Thursday’s council meeting.
