Bronte will be attending the zone four final on behalf of 2019 Moree Showgirl Emily Ryan, who has moved to Melbourne and is unable to make it to Dorrigo this Saturday, February 8.
Emily will remain the 2019 Moree Showgirl and will perform the remainder of her showgirl duties at this year's show in April, however she will not be competing at any further level.
Bronte, who has stepped into the vice president and showgirl coordinator roles with Moree Show Society, said she feels very fortunate to have been given a second chance to represent Moree at zone.
"I would like to thank Karen Munn, Brendan Munn and the Moree Show Society for their support and allowing me this opportunity a second time," she said.
Heading into the zone competition for a second time around, Bronte said she's less concerned about the things she doesn't know and is instead focussing on how she can make the best of the experience.
"When I reflect on my experience at the Narrabri zone finals in 2019, I put a lot of pressure on myself to ensure I answered all of the questions correctly and this mindset deterred me from reaching my full potential," she said.
"My interview at the Narrabri zone finals went extremely well and I was able to answer the judge's questions with confidence, however it wasn't until I walked away from zone where I finally understood what the showgirl movement is all about - empowerment.
"There is no 'typical' showgirl. The competition is not designed to choose a girl who contains the most knowledge about rural NSW or the girl who has a long list of outstanding achievements.
"The competition is an opportunity for women to showcase their hometown, personal goals, voice opinions, network with motivated women across NSW and build on their personal/professional growth."
Bronte said she is looking forward to meeting new people and gaining ideas on how to improve the Moree Show and the Moree Showgirl competition at the zone final this weekend.
"The showgirl sisterhood is very inspiring as you are able share your ambitions with others and it encourages you to be the best version of yourself," she said.
Bronte will be competing against the other showgirls from across the New England North West, with two to go on to represent the zone in the state final at The Land Sydney Royal Easter Show in April.
