The popular event was due to be held in March this year, with a date and dancers locked in, however last week the Gwydir Industries board made the decision to postpone it for a year.
President Peter Weal said the decision to postpone the event is mostly due to the ongoing drought which has severely impacted the local community.
"We get great community support but we didn't want to put undue pressure on our sponsors and supporters given the current circumstances, so we thought we should postpone it until March 2021," he said.
"We had a date and had organised dancers, so it's really disappointing for our dancers, but hopefully this will give them a year's more practise to perfect their dances."
