"Hip Hip Hip Hippopotamus" is what the pre-schoolers at Grace Lutheran Pre-School were singing as they stood in front of more than 200 people during their annual Christmas concert and graduation on Monday, December 9.

It is the one time each year where everyone comes together to celebrate the birth of Jesus and to celebrate the graduation of the big pre-schoolers heading off to school.
"It's an amazing time of the year where we all come together to see how far the children have come," Grace Luthern Pre-School service leader Megan Fleming said.
"There are lots of tears and also lots of laughs as we recall all the special moments throughout the year."

The children performed in front of all their mums, dads, grandparents, aunties, uncles and special guests.
The children's performance enthralled all who watched their singing and dancing.
After all the children participated in the Christmas concert, it was time for the graduating children to step into the limelight.
The graduating children walked down the church aisle to receive their graduation certificate. Everyone cheered and clapped.
It is a tradition of the pre-school that the graduating children perform a graduation dance.
"This has been a tradition for the pre-school for three years now," Miss Megan said.
"The children get so excited to learn the dance and have their time to shine in front of everyone. This is also a major confidence boost for lots of our children."
After the graduation, all the children came outside to find Mitchell Johnstone from Johnstone Concrete in a cement truck and with him a special guest - Santa Claus!
Santa had come with presents for all the children at Grace Lutheran Pre-School.
"Jack Johnstone was so excited to see Santa sitting next to his dad (Mitch Johnstone) in the concrete truck!" Miss Megan said.
"We then finished our celebration off with a wonderful tea with our very big pre-school family."
