Cheeky and down-to-earth, hilarious double act Mandy Nolan and Ellen Briggs are returning to the North West to give a much-needed break to communities affected by the drought.

The comical pair call themselves 'the bogan woman's thinking woman and the thinking woman's bogan', and deliver rapid fire stand up on everything from parenthood and menopause to strange surgeries and big undies.

Hosted by HealthWISE thanks to a Hunter New England and Central Coast Primary Health Network (HNECC PHN) grant, the duo will perform four free shows in Mungindi, Croppa Creek, Walcha and Bundarra on November 8, 9, 22 and 23 respectively.

Each evening will include a free dinner for attendees and $500 worth of lucky door prizes, including gift certificates for local businesses, in an effort to give a financial boost to the community.

HNECC PHN awarded several community groups with Empowering our Communities grants designed to support resilience during the big dry.

HealthWISE hopes the free night out will give a break to many who are struggling with the drought.

The health-centred organisation also provides psychological support for people with mild to moderate mental health symptoms whose lives have been directly impacted by the drought.

This service is offered across the New England North West region, and is funded by HNECC PHN. Visit https://healthwisenenw.com.au/services/mental-health/ or see your GP for referrals.

Spaces are limited for the comedy shows. To book a seat or learn more, visit www.womenlikeus.com.au or phone HealthWISE on 6792 5514. The events will be held at the Croppa Creek Hall, Mungindi Hall, Walcha Services Club and Bundarra Sports Club, with dinner from 6.30pm and the show from 8pm.
