In true style, we cut a delicious fruit cake made by Dawn Toohey.
One of our longer serving members Mhora Houston cut the cake.
We were joined by special guests from the Gwydir Group, being Mrs Roma Bundock from Warialda who is the immediate past president, and friends from our neighbouring branch at Garah.

The branch had a general monthly meeting before enjoying lunch together.
In addition to the 60th birthday celebrations, immediate past president Dawn Toohey pinned the president's badge on the newly-elected president of the branch, Ms Ruth Moore.
To round off a series of events for the year, the branch is hosting two young mothers' events being a morning tea at Garah at the CWA rooms on November 12, commencing at 9am and then an afternoon tea at the Boomi pool on Wednesday, November 20, commencing at 2pm.
The branch is keen to connect with the younger generation in our communities which is part of the CWA ethos.
Before the branch takes a break over the Christmas period, members will come together for a Christmas lunch on Friday, December 13 at the Weemelah Hall.
