The Australian Champion Super Featherweight boxer last week announced that his fight to defend his Autralian title will be held in Moree on August 10.
Not only will it be the first time an Australian title fight has been fought in Moree, but it will be the first time Priestley himself has fought at home.

And while fighting in front of a home crowd might seem like an advantage, Priestley said there'll be more pressure on him to perform on the night.
"I have more to lose," he said.
"I've had all my fights away, I love it. But everyone says that hometown support throws the opponent off, so we'll see."
Although his opponent is yet to be confirmed, Priestley said his team is currently in talks with a boxer who has never fought outside his hometown, so if that comes to fruition, it should make for an interesting fight.
Priestley is currently busy training towards his title defence fight. Training is twice a day, five days a week, but as the fight looms closer he'll spar against a number of world-rated fighters.
Priestley's strength and conditioning coach Colin 'Chalky' Rice said his preparation will be similar to his title fight in April.
"We found that preparation worked well," he said.
"We'll continue on the same program and spar the same people as before. So long as we don't have any disruptions, I'm confident he can defend his title."
The Moree fight will be a charity fight night, with all proceeds to go to Miyay Birray Youth Service to target youth crime in Moree. There will be eight amateur fights underneath Priestley's fight, with the event to be held at Moree Town Hall.
Priestley announced the details of his Moree fight at the launch of the new Toyota RAV4 at Tait Auto Group - one of his sponsors.
"I'm the new ambassador for Tait," he said.
"They've been sponsoring me since just before my title fight in April."
As sponsors, Tait supplied Priestley with a Hilux Rugged and fuel to ensure a safe journey to Canberra for his Australian title fight in April.
"We're proud to have him on board; he's a great role model," Tait Toyota's Maree Rice said.
Priestley's other sponsors include O'Neill Concreting, Gwydir Chiropractic and Physiotherapy, Johnstone Concrete and Quarries, Moree Boxing and Fitness, Sam Tapscott and Harvey Norman.
"With the travelling and boxing gear, it's hard to fund yourself, so you need good sponsors to help out," Priestley said.
"It takes the pressure off the game. You can't do it without sponsors, especially at this level."
