Organised by the Professional Golf Association (PGA), the veterans tour has been going for around 19 years. It began three weeks ago in Tamworth, before moving on to Narrabri, Moree next week and finishing off in Inverell.
"It's rated as one of the best in NSW country for the week of golf," Moree Veterans Golf Group president Guy Roberts said.
"Between $250,000 to $300,000 minimum comes to town, which is especially good in these times, the town's hurting a bit."
The veterans competition will be held on Monday and Tuesday, and some social games of golf on Thursday and Friday will cap off the week.

It's set to be a massive week for all players involved and for the town.
"A lot of volunteers have been out for the last fortnight getting the course as good as it can be seeing as its been so dry," Roberts said.
The competition will begin next Monday, April 8 at the Moree Golf Club.
