The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to Moree Hospital on Tuesday afternoon to transfer the 20-year-old man to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.
The man was suffering from a chest injury, according to an alert sent out by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service (WRHS) on Tuesday.
No further details on the man's condition were provided by the WRHS at the time.
This is the second time the rescue chopper has been tasked to Moree in the past week. On Sunday (March 3) a 34-year-old man had to be airlifted to John Hunter Hospital after suffering serious leg injuries while using a brush cutter. The man was said to be in a serious condition when he was transported from Moree to Newcastle.
