Master Cramsie was the local trainer’s biggest success on Saturday, beating Pleasure Bomb by a short head to take out the Maiden Plate (1300m) in race four.
“He went good for his first ever race,” Sinclair said.
“To win over 1300m, which is a bit of a longer distance than you would usually start with, I’m pretty happy.”
Sinclair’s other first-starter, Let Him Fly, also ran well on Saturday, coming in second by a short head to Red Drama in the Maiden Handicap (950 metres) in race one.
“He got beat in the last stride, so I’m really happy with how he went,” Sinclair said.
The Sinclair-trained Free Billy was unlucky in the Benchmark 66 Handicap (1300 metres) in race three, and placed third after missing the run at the top of the straight.
Meanwhile, Silver Art placed second to the Collarenebri, Kelly Smith-trained Yours Truthfully in race two, and Sinclair’s Oh Why and Happens Nomore came in second and third respectively in race five.
Sinclair said overall it was a successful day on the track.
“They all went good, they all tried their hardest,” he said of all six horses that raced on Saturday.
A crowd of about 4,700 attended Saturday’s race day.
