Cotton Seed Distributors (CSD) has announced the election of Cleave Rogan to the company’s Board of Directors, at their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, June 19.

Cleave will fill the vacancy left by the retirement of Rob Tuck, whose term finished at the AGM after nine years on the CSD Board.
CSD chair, James Kahl paid tribute to the outgoing director.
“Rob has been a strong contributor throughout his time with CSD,” Mr Kahl said.
“He has brought practical experience to both the Board’s Farming Committee and Board Audit Committee, which has assisted in the united outcomes achieved by the Board in recent years.”
A long-term member of CSD, Cleave Rogan is a cotton and grain grower at St George in Queensland, with more than 35 years of experience in the agriculture industry.
He has extensive experience in research, development and extension policy from his representation on the Cotton Research and Development Corporation Board (including as deputy chair, intellectual property, remuneration), Cotton Innovation Network, Australian Cotton Growers Research Association, Cotton Australia Board (including as chair of the TIMS Herbicide Technical Panel), Australian Cotton Conference committee (including as chair of the 2010 conference) and the St George Cotton Growers Association.
In representing the Australian cotton industry, Cleave has contributed to the development, approval and implementation of many strategic plans, yearly operation plans, annual reports and policy development for research development and extension.
“Cleave has a demonstrated interest in pursuing research, with practical outcomes that can assist growers in the management of their cotton crops and the growth of the Australian cotton industry,” Mr Kahl said.
“We welcome him to the Board of Directors.”
Current vice-chair, Joanne Grainger and director, Matt Norrie were also re-elected at the AGM, after originally being elected in 2011 and 2012 respectively.
Led by chair, James Kahl, the CSD Board of Directors includes managing director, Peter Graham; Joanne Grainger, Juanita Hamparsum, Matt Norrie, Tony Quigley, Nigel Corish, Cleave Rogan and Doug Rathbone.
