This year five teams took up the challenge, all vying for coveted title of 2018 BBQ Kings.
Last year’s Kings Drew Hawkins and Marco Cicchelli were back to defend their title, while Greg Bell and Mark Simpson, who last year took out the People’s Choice, were also back and keenly eyeing off the top prize.
Other teams were Rhodes Kildea’ Alistair Spring and Paul Osborn, Moree Real Estate’s Josh Ledingham and Tom Cush and Liam McCormick and Sam Harris.
Last year’s winners proved no match for newcomers Alistair Spring and Paul Osborn, who were crowned 2018 BBQ Kings after a tough decision by the three judges.
Alistair and Paul are now the proud owners of their own Weber Baby Q kindly donated by Mitre 10 Moree.
Liam McCormick and Sam Harris also proved a winning combination, winning of the crowd and being crowned 2018 People’s Choice winners.
Moree filmmaking, singing, acting extraordinaire Merri-May Gill, aka Tracey Brown-Smith-Jones, provided non-stop entertainment and jokes as this year’s MC.
