The annual festival is all set for next Saturday, May 12 and with more than 50 regional producers lined up, along with celebrity chef Ben O’Donoghue, children’s entertainer George the Farmer, the Landcare Kids Korner and plenty of live entertainment, this year’s Moree on a Plate is certain to satisfy.
However, volunteers are needed to help the hardworking committee ensure the event runs smoothly.

Volunteers are needed during the festival as well as for the set-up on Friday and Saturday morning and clean-up on Saturday afternoon.
During the festival, volunteers can help on the gate (including meet and greet), at the Kids Korner, during food demonstrations and the BBQ Challenge, or help the producers and entertainment.
There are also roles suitable for people who are trained or have skills in first aid, resuscitation, working with children, food safety supervision/preparation, hospitality, communications and media, presentation and facilitation and sports coaching or training.
“Every little bit helps so if you can spare an hour or two it would be much appreciated,” committee member Georgina Poole said.
In addition to volunteers, the shrinking committee would also love to see some new faces join them to play a part in putting on this wonderful event for the community.
Mrs Poole said although it is a big job, being a member of the friendly, hardworking committee is very rewarding.
“It’s a great way to meet people and show your appreciation of the efforts that the committee go to year after year,” she said.
To volunteer, go to the Moree on a Plate Facebook page, print off the volunteer registration form and return to Clare.merrifield@rabobank.com.
