While Rob and Susie Long are popular long-standing supporters of Moree on a Plate, showcasing their Pally Pecans, this year daughter Nicola will ensure the crowds are well entertaining thanks to her heavenly vocals.
With her talent affording her opportunities to sing in London, Paris and Wales, where she performed solo in the Notre Dame Cathedral, Nicola is thrilled to be back home performing to a local crowd.

“I’ve basically been singing since I was five, so it’s extremely rewarding to come back and perform in front of a crowd that has watched me grow up and offered so much support along the way,” Nicola said.
“Moree is where it all began for me – the talent shows, the Eisteddfods and my various inspirational teachers – it really instilled the passion in me from the get go.”
She laughs that she is also looking forward to ‘proving to Mum and Dad that all that time and money spent on lessons weren’t a complete waste!’
Nicola studied music as a subject at school and is currently studying an arts degree with a major in music and linguistics at Sydney University.
“My big influences are probably Norah Jones, Adele, Eva Cassidy... but I love all kinds of music, my Spotify when on shuffle mode is all over the shop,” she said.
“Music is a big part of my life and I believe it can tell a story and inspire people in a way that the written word can't quite.
“It gives me a lot of joy when I perform and I love the thrill you get up on stage.”
Nicola will be performing from 1pm at Moree on a Plate, on Saturday, May 12, following performances by the Moree Choir and Ukulele Group, and Acapella Group, Serendipity.
