The latest fashions from Millers, Rockman’s and Target will be modelled by seven brave members of the VIEW Club at the parade in May.
Karen Biggs, Sue Chittock, Robyn Williams, Mary Storck, Sue Knibb, Shirley Maas and Mary Mather have put their hands up to be this year’s models, all for a wonderful cause.
“We’ll be covering a range of sizes with our models,” Moree Day VIEW Club program officer and delegate officer Joy Schultz said.
Moree Day VIEW Club raises funds for The Smith Family to go towards the education expenses for children in need and this is one of their major fundraising events for the year.
“The money raised goes to disadvantaged children to help pay for their schooling,” Ms Scultz said.
“Our Day View Club supports two children in the North West area, with the money that we give to The Smith Family going towards things such as school books or tutoring.”
It'd be nice to see good crowd numbers there to help support The Smith Family.

Last year’s fashion parade raised more than $1,000 for The Smith Family.
The club has been holding the fashion parade for many years now and each year they manage to draw a large crowd of between 50 and 80 people. “It’s a nice outing and fashion parades seem to have disappeared somewhat – once upon a time they were a lot more common,” Ms Schultz said.
“It’s been something we’ve done on a regular basis to raise funds and we often get a good response from ladies in a certain age group; they like to get together with their friends and enjoy a nice meal and a chat.”
Ms Schultz said she hopes similar numbers will come along to this year’s event.
“It’d be nice to see good crowd numbers there to support The Smith Family,” she said.
The fashion parade will be held at Moree Uniting Church on Wednesday, May 3 at 11am.
Cost is $20, which includes morning tea and a light lunch, as well as plenty of entertainment. If you wish to attend, please RSVP to Joy on 6752 4040 by April 30 for catering purposes.
