That's the message Tourism Moree is hoping to spread throughout the country with the launch of its latest promotional campaign, encouraging visitors to experience, explore and relax in the Moree Plains now while international travel is still not possible.
Tourism Moree CEO Tammy Elbourne said with state and international borders still closed, more people are choosing to explore their own backyard, and Tourism Moree is well-placed to capitalise on this.
"We're starting to see a huge shift in people moving about," she said.
"The exciting part for us is the enquiries for next year if Queensland opens up and Victoria opens up.
"We've been told that the international market won't open to the big guys like the USA, the UK and Europe until the end of next year or even 2022. So we're very well-positioned as a country for domestic tourism to really take off.

"Even if we did open our borders, a lot of people are still nervous and don't want to travel overseas, they want to stay a lot closer to home. If we can get a percentage of that market, it'd be great.
"It's exciting."
In an effort to gear up for this domestic tourism boom, Tourism Moree launched its latest video on social media earlier this month, and in just two weeks it has reached nearly 13,000 people on Facebook alone.
Thirty-five per cent of that audience is from NSW, 25 per cent is from Queensland, 18 per cent from Victoria, 11 per cent is from Western Australia, 5.5 per cent is from South Australia and one per cent is from the ACT.
Ms Elbourne said the video has already been a success, with Tourism Moree taking a lot of enquiries from people interested in planning a trip in 2021.
"People are wanting packs and information and to come at certain times, so the staff are now tailoring packages and information to these people," she said.
Ms Elbourne said Moree has already had a lot of visitors come who wouldn't normally travel domestically over the past few months.
"It's a great opportunity to introduce new visitors to these areas," she said.
This latest tourism campaign has been on the cards for sometime, and in June and July Tourism Moree did a lot of filming to update its digital video and photo stills so it would have fresh content ready to go when the time was right.
"We had [the video] sitting in the wings waiting to launch but with COVID we had to be very measured," Ms Elbourne said.
"When we were ready, the second wave came and Victoria is a massive part of our market, both domestically and transit - people travelling through - so we had to hold off.
"We knew at the end of September/early October things were tracking well, so we've done a soft launch through our social media platforms.
"We are very excited. We're going to be ready to roll and do some great campaigns from now on, hitting it hard in February for our peak season."
