The zones have been re-established within 300 metres of outlets supplying alcohol in Boggabilla and Mungindi and within 500 metres in Moree, following a resolution which was passed by Moree Plains Shire Council during its ordinary meeting on August 27.
The draft proposal to re-establish the zones was on public exhibition for 30 days and accessible to community members for comment through council's website. Relevant stakeholders such as Moree Community Safety Committee, NSW Police, local Licensees, Local Aboriginal Land Councils and the Anti-Discrimination Board were also invited through direct correspondence to provide feedback on the proposal.
