Ed Montgomery has shown his versatility on the cricket field, performing with both bat and ball for Northern Inland at the Hunter Valley Macquarie Generation Under-15 Carnival, highlighted by a big century in his team's final match of the week.

Montgomery hit 100 (retired) off just 83 balls, including 10 fours and six sixes, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to get the win against North Coast.
Unfortunately, Montgomery's effort with the bat wasn't enough to come away with the win, as North Coast walked away with a three wicket victory, reaching its target in the final over.
While he didn't find his feet early in the week with the bat, Montgomery showed he can do some damage with the ball throughout the first three games.

Northern Inland opened its campaign against Mid North Coast on Monday, going down by seven wickets.
Northern Inland were bowled out for just 105, with Montgomery contributing nine runs, before Mid North Coast cruised to 3-110 to win it. Montgomery was the best with the ball, taking 2-6 off five overs, including three maidens.
He then made eight not out and took 0-16 off six overs in their eight wicket loss to Central Coast in game two.
Northern Inland were bowled out for 133, with Central Coast chasing its target down in 40 overs.
Northern Inland got its first win in game three, defeating Hunter Valley by 66 runs.
Hunter Valley were held to 127 in their run chase of Northern Inland's 7-193, with Montgomery finishing with bowling figures of 2-3 off four overs, to go with four runs with the bat.
Next came his dominant century, as Northern Inland ended their campaign with a three wicket loss in a thriller, North Coast reaching its target during the final over.
