Residents of Moree Plains Shire will join the rest of the nation to remember, pause and reflect on the conflicts that have gone before us, and are still being battled, during Anzac Day commemorations throughout the district on Thursday, April 25.

In Moree, marchers are asked to assemble in Morton Street at 5.50am before marching to Moree and District Services Club for a 6am dawn service at the memorial window. Breakfast will be provided at 7am at Moree and District Services Club for dawn service participants.
The Max Wales Memorial Service, honouring Long Tan soldier Max Wales who was killed in action, will begin at 9am at the Max Wales Memorial Park on the river at the western side of Moree and District Services Club.
Participants of the main Anzac Day march will then meet at 9.30am in Kirkby Park (opposite Woolworths) and march down Balo Street with a salute in front of the RSL Museum (old Memorial Library).

The main ceremony will begin at 10am at Moree Memorial Hall with a morning tea, provided by Moree Guides and Brownies, following the service.
Lunch will be provided at Moree and District Services Club from 12 noon for main commemoration veterans. Tickets are required and will be provided on request to those entitled to them.
Raffles and two-up will follow in the afternoon as usual.
Meanwhile, the Pallamallawa community will meet at 5.15am for a 5.30am dawn service at the Pallamallawa Memorial Hall, followed by breakfast.
The Mungindi dawn service will be held at Mungindi RSL Club at 5.45am, followed by the main commemoration service at 10.30am. Marchers are asked to assemble at the Mungindi RSL Club at 10am. St George Street, between Narrabri and Wirrah Streets, Mungindi, will be closed from 10am to 12 noon.
In Garah, march participants will assemble at the CWA Hall in Midkin Street at 8.30am before the march begins at 10am. The march will head to the Garah Hall for the wreath laying, followed by morning tea.
The Yallaroi community will hold an Anzac service at Yallaroi Hall at 9am. People are asked to bring a plate for morning tea afterwards. Later that morning, at 11.30am the community will also celebrate 'one-teacher' schooling to mark 50 years since the last Yallaroi school closed.
The Bellata community will assemble at 10.15am at the school for a march to the hall at 10.30am. The laying of wreaths will get underway at 10.45am, followed by the Anzac service at 11am. Morning tea will follow and the Golf Club will host lunch at 1pm.
In Collarenebri, the march will begin at 10.15am from the post office to the Collarenebri Club carpark, with the service to get underway at 11am on the Club grounds, followed by a luncheon.
Marchers in Boomi will assemble at 10.45am at the old post office and march to the Boomi Hall where the Anzac ceremony will commence at 11am. A community morning tea will follow.
Moree's Fairview Retirement Village will also host their annual Anzac Day service at Perry James Lodge at 10am on Wednesday, April 24.
