Set to be held in Fairview’s beautiful gardens from 11am to 3pm this Sunday, August 26, the annual fundraising fete will have plenty on offer for the whole family to enjoy.
All are welcome to come along and browse the variety of stalls while enjoying a bite to eat and listening to the sounds of the Moree and District Band, Moree Caledonian Society Pipes and Drums Band and Moree Community Choir throughout the day.
There will be stalls full of cakes, produce, plants, craft, books, trash and treasure items and more.
Tittle Tats of Moree will run the kids corner, featuring patty cake decorating, pasta necklace-making, face painting and other activities.
Outback Espresso will be bringing their coffee van, while Moree Lions Club will be busy on the barbecue and Moree Rotary Club will be doing a ham wheel.

There will also be plenty of other food options and Fairview Fete coordinator Joy Peachey encourages the community to come along and enjoy a nice family outing, all for a good cause.
“Even if people just want to pop down to get some lunch,” she said.
“There’ll be plenty to do.”
The monster raffle, featuring 10 prizes, will be drawn on the day. Tickets are being sold in Balo Street on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, as well as on the gate on Sunday.
All money raised from the event will go back into the general running of Fairview.
“Fairview is Moree’s only nursing home; it’s community owned and really needs support,” Ms Peachey said.
The event is a social highlight for the residents of Fairview, who always look forward to getting out and catching up with friends and family.
Residents will be particularly looking forward to this year’s fete, after missing out last year due to an influenza outbreak which forced the facility into lockdown.
“The residents love the interaction and seeing all the kids and the bands,” Ms Peachey said.
“It’s also really important for their social wellbeing.”
Ms Peachey said the event will go ahead, rain, hail or shine.
“Hopefully this wind will die down before Sunday,” she said.
Organisers are currently calling out for volunteers to help on the day. If you can spare a few hours, or want to know more, call Joy Peachey on 0427 990 690 or 6754 9474. For more information on the day, go to the Fairview Retirement Village Facebook page.
