The celebrations got underway on Sunday when Fairview Retirement Village hosted a church service and afternoon tea.
On Monday, more than 30 seniors packed the Pius X hall where they enjoyed a lovely morning tea and a game of bingo, as well as a wonderful performance by the students from Kiah Preschool.
Today (Tuesday, March 7) the festivities will continue at Moree Community Library with a Young at Heart Super Hero Seniors Event at 10.30am.
Moree’s Senior Citizen of the Year will be crowned on Wednesday during the event at Moree Services Club which includes entertainment by Peter Denevon and a two course lunch from 10.30am.
On Friday, March 10 there’ll be bingo at Moree Respite House from 10.30am with lunch provided by Moree Secondary College’s cooking class.
Finally, there’ll be a Lions barbecue lunch on Saturday and a mixed triple bowls night at Moree Services Club on Sunday.
