NSW Farmers Grain Committee deputy chair, Rebecca Reardon, said approved truck codes had a five per cent tolerance on deliveries to the above sites.
“It is disappointing that not all receivers have opted into the GHMS for this year,” she said.
“It puts their grower customers at a greater risk of being penalised if they make a mistake in the paddock and inadvertently load a truck above the general mass limit (GML),” she said.
The 2014/15 scheme has differed to the past year, with a few new changes that participants have to abide by including: having a copy of the scheme at all times, taking the direct route to a receiver.
New grains have also been added, the RMS are now policing the scheme and only certain approved truck codes can participate.
“We would strongly encourage those receivers who have not registered to do so,” Mrs Reardon said.
According to the RMS website, no other receivers around Moree are listed as participating at this stage.
This means approved truck codes delivering to these sites are not entitled to the five per cent tolerance but must load at the GML or less.
