The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a minor flood warning for both the Gwydir River and Mehi River on Friday morning.
Flood waters peaked at Gravesend on Thursday evening before falling below minor on Friday morning.
The flood peak is approaching Pallamallawa with a minor flood peak expected mid-morning.
Flood waters are moving through Yarraman Bridge this morning, with a peak expected in the evening, and flood waters should peak at Moree early Saturday morning near the minor flood level.

Gwydir River downstream of Copeton Dam:
The Gwydir River at Gravesend Road Bridge peaked at 7.49 metres around 7.45pm on Thursday, December 17, and fell below the minor flood level (6.10 m) at 3am on Friday.
The Gwydir River at Pallamallawa is nearing the minor flood level (6.0 m). The river level may peak near 6.20 metres around 10am Friday with minor flooding.
The Gwydir River at Yarraman Bridge is expected to exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) around 10am Friday. The river level is expected to peak near 6.30 metres around 06pm Friday with minor flooding.
Mehi River:
Minor flooding may occur along the Mehi River Moree.
The Mehi River at Moree may peak near the minor flood level (5.50 metres) around 02am Saturday.
Flood Safety Advice:
In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500.
- Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place.
- Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood.
- Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains.
- Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.
- Stay up to date with information. Listen to flood warnings and follow advice on how to protect yourself, family and property.
- People working or camping along the Gwydir River should monitor river heights and relocate to higher ground.
- Farmers and landholders are advised to relocate livestock, pumps and machinery to higher ground.
