An event to recognise and applaud local women, the lunch also provided local ladies an opportunity to hear the inspirational journey of guest speaker, CEO of Achmea Australia, Emma Thomas.

Sharing her inspirational story of career success and how she has balanced family and career, Emma empowered local ladies with a number of practical motivational strategies.
As the CEO of Achmea, a leading farm insurance firm, Emma explained that much of her motivation was thanks to her grandmother, a female pioneer of farming in New Zealand after her role as a 'Land Girl' - one of 6,000 women who worked in agriculture during the war years to keep the economy going whilst the men were at war.
