The average maximum temperature for February was a pleasant 31.2 degrees - 2.1 degrees lower than a typical February in Moree and the coolest February since 2013 when the average maximum was 30.7, according to the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM).
Besides the odd day over 35 degrees, temperatures hovered around the 30-degree mark throughout last month, bringing a welcome change to the stinking hot Februarys of previous years.
The cool change was mostly brought about by the welcome rainfall that has soaked much of the region over the past two months.

A total of 95 millimetres of rain fell at Moree Airport throughout February, according to the BoM.
This was 141 per cent higher than the February rainfall average of 67.6mm, and blew last year's sad monthly total of zero out of the water, however it wasn't enough to top the 108.6mm that was recorded in February 2018.
So far this year, Moree has welcomed a total of 212.4mm in the rain gauges, which is already well above last year's total of 125.4mm.
The combined January/February rainfall has seen Moree enjoy its wettest start to a year since 2013, when 225.4mm fell across the two months.
The January total of 117mm is also the highest since 2013, which saw 178.4mm fall.
And the rain looks set to continue, with the BoM predicting rain for Moree over the next few days.
Moree can expect between 15 to 35mm on Thursday, with a 40 per cent chance of up to 4mm on Friday.
Possible light showers are also predicted for Sunday and Monday.
