A man has had his driver's licence suspended after he failed to supply an adequate sample for a breath analysis over the Australia Day long weekend.

At 4.20am on Tuesday, January 28, police were patrolling Tycannah Street, Moree when they stopped a Silver Mitsubishi Magna for a roadside breath test.
Police will allege that the 34-year-old male driver returned a positive reading.
He was arrested and taken to Moree Police Station for a breath analysis, however police will allege the man failed to provide an adequate sample.

As a result, his licence was suspended and he was charged with failing to submit to a breath analysis.
The 34-year-old was granted conditional bail and will appear in Moree Local Court on March 9.
Over the Australia Day long weekend, police across the New England engaged in Operation Safe Return, conducting more than 3300 breath tests, issuing 15 restraint infringement notices, 155 traffic infringement notices and 79 speeding infringement notices.
