The five-day program will run from January 13 to 17 and is open to children of all ages from 18 months, with classes to be held in the mornings.
There are three levels of classes that children can be enrolled in, depending on their age and ability.
The Nemo class is for children aged between 18 months and 36 months and is a water familiarisation program for the parents and children. Parents are required to enter the water.
The Dory and Snapper class helps build water confidence for preschool children between three and five years old. Parents may be required to enter the water.
The final class is the Marlins, Dolphins and Sharks, which is for five to 14 year olds. It teaches the basics of learn to swim, stroke development and water safety. Parents are not required to enter the water.
The cost of the program is $80 for the first child, and $75 for any additional siblings. Pool entry fees are not included, however MAAC is offering a discounted entry rate of $3 for children participating in the Learn to Swim program.
For more information or to make a booking, call the MAAC on 6752 2272. Bookings close on Wednesday, January 8.
