Aunty Val passed away on December 20, 2019 at the age of 75.
She was the loved wife of Bruce (deceased) and adored mother of Candice, Sandra and Bruce.
Aunty Val's passing comes only a month she received state-wide recognition for her years of contribution to Aboriginal health, at the GP Synergy awards.
She had only recently retired as GP Synergy's Aboriginal liaison officer, a role which saw her provide valuable guidance to help 'close the gap' in the health of Indigenous Australians.
