Hosted by Moree Youth Council, in collaboration with Careers Network and TAFE, the 2019 Moree Plains Shire Careers Expo aims to inform, empower and educate aspirational young people about the opportunities available for career development during the one day event.
Moree Plains Shire Council assistant community development and administration officer Jacqui Moore said the careers expo will be an opportunity for local youth to obtain vital information about school subject choices, university and degree options, cadetship, traineeship and scholarship opportunities, residential college options, career direction and progression, and will provide the chance for one-on-one discussions.

"The careers expo is targeting youth within our region with a goal to empower them to find their career passion and develop skills in their desired field," she said.
"Special thanks to Tara Skelton and Amy Ward for their guidance and outstanding efforts throughout the planning of the expo. They have gone above and beyond to ensure that the day is a success."
Paralympian, congenital amputee, motivational speaker and creator of the No Xcuses mindset, Brant Garvey will be the guest speaker at the event, and Moree McDonalds owner Mick Young will also speak.
The event, which will be held at the Multi-Purpose Centre from 8.30am to 3pm, will feature plenty of activity-based stalls throughout the day. There will also be touch football, mindfulness and a drone demonstration. Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
