We all know how important keeping active is for our physical and mental health.
During the first week of school holidays, PCYC NSW brought Fun For Kids to Moree for all young children to enjoy.
The free event was one of 17 to be held across regional New South Wales during the school holidays to empower young people living in drought-stricken areas.
Local school-aged children participated in a wide range of sports and children’s activities on Wednesday, October 3.
It was a chance for local kids to socialise during the holidays and of course stay active and have fun.
Afterwards, at around 5pm the children enjoyed a barbecue before finishing the night off with a dance party at 6pm.
“PCYC NSW is about getting young people active in life and with many of our clubs in regional areas doing it tough, we wanted to give back to young people and the community by delivering events where young people can be distracted from the drought and have some fun,” said Dominic Teakle, PCYC NSW chief executive.
“PCYC NSW aims to empower young people no matter what their circumstance.”
