“Police are pretty confident it has something to do with the game. Ultimately, there was some dispute, which is only known to the parties involved,” inspector Burke said.
Toohey’s Group 19 chairman Terry Carson said he had received a complaint from the referee in relation to the Boars vs Boomerangs game.
“The referee has submitted a report in regards to receiving abuse from certain members of the Boomerangs club.”
A-Grade Boars coach Scott Girard said he was disappointed with the behaviour of some people after the match.
