Aimee Diebold, sister Laura, brother Luke and brother-in-law Cale Penrith struggled in the TV game show with tricky questions such as types of boat without a motor, and things people worry about when they’re on holidays.
But their eccentricities – such as Laura’s tales of her rabbit that eats at the dinner table, and Luke’s eerily believable dinosaur impression – certainly left an impression.

A clip of the show from the Family Feud Australia Facebook page has been viewed more than 73,000 times, with commenters calling it “hilarious”, “hysterical” and “gold”.
The family auditioned for the show late last year and filmed their episode last month.
Luke Diebold said that, although their episode had taken only about 90 minutes to film, the whole day had been “a lot of fun”.
“They film a whole bunch of episodes in a row, so we sat backstage for most of the day talking to families … they were so full of life and stories,” he said.
“Also, watching Family Feud live is a really different experience: whenever you’re waiting to see if an answer is right, it takes ages, so there’s that added layer of suspense.”
As for his dinosaur act, Mr Diebold said “doing weird stuff on stage comes naturally to me” and he’d been refining it over years.
Not surprisingly, the former Oxley High School boy was a regular in Tamworth Musical Society shows and is a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
He now teaches piano and is developing a website that helps people learn music theory.
The family each received a $250 gift voucher – with which Mr Diebold said he intended to buy a garlic crusher.
As for the next TV show he’d like to be on, Mr Diebold said: Survivor.
“I would love to live in the wild,” he said.
“Some people [on the Family Feud Australia Facebook page] said I should be on The Bachelor, but I think my girlfriend would have something to say about that.”
Team captain Aimee Diebold said: “We didn’t win, but we didn’t care – it was an experience money can’t buy”.
“At the end of the day, it is a game of luck and they make that clear to you, but I’d rather be entertaining and lose – plus we’re stoked with our $1000.
“We have received a whole heap of feedback from strangers online saying how funny our episode was and they enjoyed every moment.”
