The Moree Goannas played three games throughout the gala day.
The Goannas played the North Coast regional winner, Orara High in their first game.
Orara took an early lead. With strong work from the forwards - led by Corey Ricketts, Hayden Mills and Jacob Robinson - the Goannas soon gained control, winning 22-16.
The boys took on the Far North Coast regional winner, Kingscliff High in their second game.
With a pattern emerging, Kingscliff took early control with a 16-6 lead. The brilliance of the halves combination of Dwayne and Daniel Smith soon saw Moree beat Kingscliff 24-16.
The third game saw the under 13s take on Gosford, St Edwards, who were the Northern Hunter regional winners.
St Edwards dominated for most of the game with a 16-0 lead with four minutes to go.
After a try-saving tackle from David Annis-Brown, and some creative play from halves Dwayne and Daniel Smith, Moree drew level with 30 seconds left to play.
Coaching staff Jason Auld, Anthony Robinson, Peter Duncan, Stephen Lott and Michael Davison were proud of the way the boys stayed in the game, and not once put their heads down.
The boys now play Kildare Catholic College from Wagga in Dubbo on August 5 in the Country Cup State Final.
