Coordinators of the regular Monday art therapy program were delighted to present residents’ work of the past two years for exhibition.
Program volunteer, Bette Montgomery, said they were hoping for strong support from the Moree community.
“Moree is justly proud of its community-owned retirement village,” she said.
“Fairview is a busy home where residents can engage in many of the activities that they have always enjoyed and try their hands at new ones. The art therapy program is just one of many activities organised by officers June McKnight and Jane Warrener with the help of community volunteers. Residents really enjoy their Monday art sessions and are most excited about the exhibition tonight, looking forward to sharing their works for sale,” Mrs Montgomery said.
On exhibition and for sale will be several works by Moree artists and Fairview friends who have generously donated their paintings.
“All proceeds from the evening will go to purchase consumable supplies for art and craft programs for the next two years,” she said.
Residents are encouraged to attend Fairview for the exhibition this evening starting at 5.30pm.
“Light refreshments will be served and there is a lucky door prize,” Mrs Montgomery said.
The art exhibition will be held in the Federation Lodge activities room at Fairview Retirement Village.
