A charge of $5 for people over 15 years of age will come into effect this year.
Children under 15 will have free gate entry.
For those who buy their rodeo tickets before Friday 4th, at either the credit union, or at the secretary’s office at the showground, they will not need to pay the additional gate fee for Friday.
Those who do not purchase their tickets prior to the show, will have to pay a gate fee of $5, and a further $10 for entry to the rodeo.
On Saturday, only the gate fee of $5 for people over 15 years will be charged.
The secretary’s office will be open from 9am–3pm Monday until Thursday before the show, which is on April 4-5.
Secretary Karen Munn said the show society was unable to be covered for weather insurance unless a gate fee was charged.
“Our governing body, the Agricultural Societies Council of NSW (ASC), considers a gold coin donation to be a free gate, which excludes us from being eligible to be covered for extreme weather events,” she said.
“The Moree Show is one of a few in the state that doesn’t have expensive gate fees. Our neighbouring towns charge up to $15 an adult, and $10 a child, for each day of the show.”
The committee hope people of Moree and district understand and support the show.
“We have an action-packed day on Saturday, as well as Gill Bros Rodeo on Friday night, so it will be well worth the cost. For members, their tickets can be picked up from the secretary’s office in the week before the show,” she said.
Cars entering the grounds will need to have a car pass, which are available from the office for members, exhibitors and traders.
