Entrants came from all over New South Wales and Queensland including Lismore, Rockhampton, Emerald and Sarina.
Committee members decided to allow competitors to dress up for the event with Moree’s Errol and Tarnie Carter choosing a Fred and Wilma costume which was judged as the best.
On the track, ‘Ned Kelly’ with Tim Grant and Danny Hunt behind the wheel won the standard section ahead of Luke Radford and Aaron Cochrane who were navigating Bad Girlz with Ballz around the slippery mud.
In a moment which drew the crowd to their feet a judge rolled their modified car twice.
‘Here we go’ won the modified section while ‘Havin a go’ with Andrew Nielsen and Luke Dair driving were too good in the buggy class.
Kurt Maxwell was the highest local pointscorer in the modified section.
