The annual event was set to be held in August but will no longer be going ahead due to COVID-19 and the short amount of time available to plan the event.
"Please know we have waited as long as we could to make this call and it is not something we've done lightly however, with the current restrictions in place it is not viable for us to continue this year," Mungindi Show Society said in a statement.
"We also have the health of our community and surrounding areas at best interest and feel more time is perhaps needed to ensure the safety of everyone.

"We will use this down time to carry out some big funded projects at the show grounds such as the $180,00 Secretaries office re-build, $135,000 major electric upgrade and some building repairs, some concreting in the pavilion, a new retaining wall behind the bar to level 'the hill' and extend the width of the concrete around the bar."
In place of the Show, a free drive in fireworks display will be held for the community on Saturday, August 8 from 7pm.
"We want to thank you all for your patience and understanding during this difficult time," Mungindi Show Society said.
"We hope you all enjoy the year off and we look forward to a bigger and better event next year in 2021."
