The 40-year-old man fell from his bike and broke his right forearm during the annual North Star trail ride on Saturday.
The patient was then flown from the scene to Tamworth hospital where he was listed in a stable condition on Sunday morning.
Meanwhile, the chopper was also tasked to the Moree area on Sunday where it was reported a number of motocross riders had collided and sustained injuries during the MX Nationals event.
An 18-year-old male was transported from Moree Hospital to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital suffering chest and internal injuries sustained in the motocross accident.
