Add to that a current three-month leave from work to allow she and husband Jonathan the opportunity to travel Japan and Europe, and her path is even more enviable.

But Tara, a speech-language pathologist working in education in Brisbane, still credits her years at Moree Secondary College for giving her the tools and confidence necessary for career, and personal, progression.

"I did put a lot of effort into my classwork, which has no doubt helped me to get to where I am today, but teachers such as Miss Morgan, my biology teacher, were so passionate and had a great way of relating to students," she said.

"I loved that MSC gave me an insight into what I wanted my future to look like.

"With this in mind I took the steps necessary to achieve my goal of being a speech-language pathologist."

After graduating in 2007, Tara attained a Bachelor of Speech Pathology before setting off on an overseas adventure and later, embarking on her career in Brisbane.

"I'm looking forward to continuing to access professional development in my career, so I can further improve my skills and help children reach their true potential," Tara said.

Having come full circle since her days at MSC, Tara now hopes to inspire others, just as she was inspired.

"All students should be empowered to really try their best, education equals opportunity, and it really felt like all the teachers at MSC were genuinely invested in seeing us succeed," she said.
