Five community groups in Moree have received funding after the Moree Plains Shire Council meeting on Thursday, January 24.

Moree and District Historical Society were given $3000 to publish the Golden Triangle Picnic Races History Book.
Bill Poulos wrote the book with the aim of publishing 500 copies to raise money for the historical society, believing he could make around $30,000 if the book was published with council funding.
The Moree Weebolla Bulls Rugby Union Club and Moree Suns AFL club were each given $2000.
The Bulls will be hosting the Classic Wallabies in March, with an exhibition match between the Wallabies and a Central North invitational side to be played on Saturday, March 23.
The Classic Wallabies will also be running clinics across the region in the week leading up to the match and will visit all schools in Moree on Friday, March 22.
The Suns are still recovering from the fire that burned down their clubhouse in September 2018, where around $20,000 worth of property was destroyed.
They also plan to establish an Under 14s side in the AFL North West NSW competition.
The club will also be hosting the Sydney Swans who are coming to town to visit schools and run some clinics.
Moree Show Society were also given $2000 to assists with costs associating with hosting the 2019 Moree Show, after losing around half of their sponsor money.
The final $1000 was given to Fairview Retirement Village to to go towards their Fairview on Trawalla fundraising event.
