The new probationary constables – Ethan Hughes, Harley Griffith and Jordan Casper – hit the ground running during their first day on the job on Tuesday.
New England Police District Commander Superintendent Scott Tanner said the three recruits see the Moree station return to full strength for the first time in a number of years.
“We look forward to having new recruits,” he said.
“It’s the first time in a very long time Moree has been at full capacity, which can only benefit the community.
“They’ll complete 12 months of intensive training and their uni work, while being exposed to all facets of policing.”

It’s the first time all three have been to Moree, but they’re all very much looking forward to getting to know the community and learning on the job.
“I’m looking forward to getting out and making a difference,” Probationary Constable Casper said.
The three probationary constables will be stationed in Moree for the next three years.
All up, six new probationary constables have been deployed to the New England Police District – three in Moree, while Inverell, Glen Innes and Armidale will gain one each.
