It seemed like mural artist James Ellis had only just left town, yet the Brisbane-based artist was once again spotted in Moree on the weekend as he made another colourful addition.

This time around, Mr Ellis painted the facade of R2K Tyres on Gosport Street.
Brad Bussell runs R2K Tyres and said it was time that the business had a makeover.

“I saw a lot of artworks go up around town so I spoke to James and we worked together to pick out the best design,” Mr Bussell said.
A Four-Wheel Drive Mitsubishi Triton and mound of car tyres is now painted in place of the original grey-coloured facade.
Mr Bussell said murals were a great way to revamp the old-fashioned buildings in town.
“The framework of this shed was put in in 1894. Murals help to clean up the old buildings like ours, to give them a fresh look.”
