Recently, Ms Hadley won the northern division contest against people from four other areas, qualifying her for district – the fourth level of the competition.
Table topics is an impromptu public speaking contest where competitors are given a topic to speak on for one to two minutes.
The northern division topic was ‘what the world would be better without’; Ms Hadley’s winning speech argued that it would be better without hate.
Ms Hadley said she’s excited for the district competition on November 6.
“Even if I don’t win, I think it will be pretty worthwhile to see some of the best speakers in the state,” she said.
Moree Toastmasters sergeant of arms Malou Deakin said the club is very proud of Ms Hadley, who is the first person from Moree to represent the area.
