The ball was held by the Young Aggies and Agricultural Society Council (ASC) of NSW next Generation to help raise money for R U OK? And the ASC of NSW Scholarship Fund.
About 180 dressed in their finest outfits to support the causes by purchasing raffle tickets and outbidding each other during the auctions.
Raffle prizes included two RM Williams gift vouchers, a skin care hamper from Beauty Matters and a gourmet food hamper donated by Tasty Surprise.
A 2013 signed Wallabies jersey was won at auction by Rhys Manning, a joy flight was won by TFS Woods, Clay Target Shooting was won by Zach Mather, Rhys Manning and Tony O’Donnell and Jake Cutcliffe, a 2014 signed Wallabies ball won by Jayden Parish and Chloe Maher won the painting by Ian Reardon.
One of the winners of the Clay Target Shooting auction Zach Mather was excited about his win.
“I know the money is going to two very great causes,” he said.
After the formalities were over the Jarred Scott Band provided great covers of old classics and created a fun environment.
Gold Rush organiser, Fiona Norrie, said the night ran very smoothly.
“The night was a raging success, we had a really great crowd and support goes to wonderful organisations. Everyone was so well behaved, a great night was had by everyone,” she said.
“It all came together quickly and easily, it all just worked. “We got to catch up with old friends and meet new people.
“A significant portion of people were from out of town.
“It was great to meet new like minded people” she said.
More than $12,000 was raised for R U OK? And ASC of NSW Scholarship fund.
