The event was hosted on the property “Cwmteg” during the second week of the September school holidays.
The jamboree brought together riders from pony clubs from across the zone eight area and is billed as the biggest event on the zone eight calendar.
Garah-Boomi Pony Club members were on top of their game for the three days of competition claiming several trophies including the Scott Memorial Cup Club Competition.
North Star Pony Club won the Woods Family Small Club Competition Trophy and riders from Gravesend Pony Club were awarded the Noel Williams Team of Four Trophy.
Gravesend Pony Club rider Jessica Towns was a standout performer at the jamboree and was awarded the overall individual point score trophy.
The popular 14-year-old teenager was riding her ex racehorse Slaybaugh and scored six first places and one second place from the seven events she was eligible to contest.
Zone eight chief instructor Julie Morgan was happy with the outcome of the event.
“Jamboree is a highlight of the year and it was very encouraging to see the number of young riders competing this year. The teams were well prepared and all riders put in personal best performances,” Morgan said.
