Moree Academy of Dance is hosting the workshop, run by Ballet Workshops Australia, with 30 children and 10 adults from Moree, Mungindi, Boomi, Ashford, Inverell and Armidale taking part.
Participants include students from Moree Academy of Dance, Moree Physical Culture Club and Club 2400 Moree Physie and Dance.
Over the three days, the juniors and seniors will be working on their techniques in a range of different dance styles, including ballet, contemporary, character, jazz, hip-hop, musical theatre and strength and conditioning, while the adults will be taking part in ballet, contemporary and jazz classes.

The workshops will then culminate in a free community concert, to be held at the Anglican Church Hall at 3.30pm on Wednesday, January 22.
"Apart from working on their techniques and different styles, they will be learning a repertoire which they will showcase in the community concert on Wednesday afternoon," BWA's Laura Bailey said.
Everyone in the community is invited to attend the concert.
At the conclusion of the workshops, there will be a number of certificates and awards presented, which have been supported by Queensland Ballet, Australian Ballet Company, Ballet Emporium, Bloch Australia and Verve Portraits.
There will also be dance costumes, which have been donated from all over Australia, available for anyone who might need them, as part of BWA's Dancers for Drought initiative. BWA also offered several sponsored positions, allowing a few students to attend the workshop free of charge.
BWA would like to thank the Dancers for Drought sponsors/donors, including the Szacsvay family, the Zubrinich family, Julie Wells, Anne Kohn, Tanya Pearson Academy, Ecole Ballet and Dance Theatre, The Jazz Factory, Redlands, Serenade Ballet Academy, Olivia and Emily McDougall and many other generous dance studios and individuals.
There are also a few places left for the Toowoomba workshop at the end of this week for anyone interested.
