Residents filled the Perry James Lodge dining room for the small service on Monday, November 11, which marked the 101st anniversary since the historic treaty was signed to end World War I.
Rodney Brazel gave the introduction, encouraging people to remember the great sacrifice of all those who have fought in war and conflict.
"On this day we remember the sacrifice of such men for an ideal way of life," he said.
"Let us take strength in the knowledge and hope that our sons and daughters will never forget the example set by their forefathers. In our everyday life let us endeavour to carry those traditions established in past wars and conflicts at such tragic cost."
Aboriginal elder Val Dahlstrom spoke of the role Indigenous servicemen in war, while Cr John Tramby read David J Dealney's New Generation Veterans, Stella Cusack read The Lord's Prayer and Laurel Briant read In Flanders Fields.
Joan Brooks and Betty Geary laid wreaths and John Williams read The Ode.
