The AFL North West took four junior teams to the Northern Carnival in Coffs Harbour earlier this week, with the Moree Suns well represented across the two days.

Five teams competed in the carnival from July 9 to 10, including the North West, North Coast, Illawarra, Hunter and Central Coast.
10 Suns players took park in the carnival across three teams.
The youth girls had three Suns representatives, Abbie Gray and Piper and Macey Phillis, and finished third in the carnival winning three of their five games.

Brody Read, Odin Steff and Ed Montgomery took the field for the under-15s, and while they didn't make finals, the Suns boys all produced strong performances, with Montgomery scoring more than half the side's points in their opening loss to Central Coast.
The under-17s went up against some very strong outfits from the other regions.
Danny Brown, Nicholas Fisher, Corey Baker and Branden Barker helped the team to a fourth place finish.
On top of the 10 players who pulled on a representative jersey, there were another five Suns players who were selected but unable to attend, proving the future is bright at the club.
The Suns under-17s side now look ahead to an important clash against the Inverell Saints at Varley Oval on Saturday.
The Suns will be out for revenge after the Saints took home an impressive victory in Moree the last time the two sides met.
