In A-grade, the Boars got off to the perfect start, with Wayne Swan crossing over in the opening minutes after a Stan Swan 40/20 to go out to a 6-0 lead.
The early joys would be short lived, with the Boomerangs rocketing back into the contest to take control and they would head into the break with a 26-6 lead.
They would continue their dominance into the second half, finishing the game as 48-12 winners on the back of a strong defensive effort and superior discipline, and they now sit at the top of the Group 19 ladder.
Boomerangs coach Chris Binge said the focus going into this game was on the side's effort and execution.
"I'm more than happy with the way we went about those aspects of the game," he said.
Binge was particularly pleased with the team's overall defensive efforts, particularly early in the contest when the Boars were throwing a lot at them.
"We didn't panic after that first try," he said.
"We did work really hard the week before defensively in what we needed to do and I think we showed that on the weekend.
"Even when the Boars broke our line, we scrambled well and we worked on our shape in defence. I'm happy with the overall defensive efforts."

Binge singled out Tristan Duncan-Ward as one of the standouts in Sunday's match, calling his performance "absolutely sensational", while also applauding the team effort.
"He was really dominant from the start of the game right through to the 80th minute," Binge said.
"He was well backed by Peter Duncan in the back row and Jamie Sampson at fullback was unbelievable.
"At the same time, those guys can't do what they did yesterday unless they have those other guys in the team supporting them."
Binge gave a lot of credit to the Boars who came out really strong to start the game.
"The Boars, for the first 15 to 20 minutes, they tried their butts off," he said.
"I applaud their efforts. If a few little things went their way then the result may have been a bit closer."
It was a very tight contest in the league tag, with the Boomerangs emerging victors by just two points, a sole conversion the only difference.
The Boars came out strong and shot out to a 16-6 half time lead before the Boomerangs were able to claw their way back.
They scored two converted second half tries and kept the Boars scoreless to win 18-16.
Jalika Leslie starred for the Boomerangs, scoring all three tries in a dominant display.
Reserve grade followed, and the Boomerangs proved far too strong in a 50-12 thrashing over the Boars.
Wyatt Roberts was a stand out at fullback while Jeramy Smith was also strong in the front row, scoring two tries.
The Boomerangs now look ahead to a trip to Armidale in round four to take on the Rams while the Boars will travel to Glen Innes in a tough away game against the Magpies.
